Sumycin is sometimes used as an alternative drug for those who are allergic to penicillin, because it is considered a “broad-spectrum” antibiotic. Besides its treatment for severe acne, Sumycin is well-know for its antibacterial action against pneumonia, upper respiratory infections, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, urinary tract infections, gonorrhea, conductivities, trachoma, and even ulcers.

Your doctor may give you a Sumycin prescription to treat a number of different infections that are caused by specific bacteria, including acne. Sumycin is only available on a prescription from your doctor.

Why would your doctor give you a Sumycin prescription?

Sumycin prescriptions are given to patients that have an infection that is caused by a type of bacteria which is susceptible to the drug Sumycin, including acne.

Sumycin is known as a tetracycline antibiotic, these slow down the rate at which the bacteria can produce by affecting the availability of proteins which the bacteria require to grow. By slowing down the bacteria the body stands a greater chance of defeating them.

If your doctor doesn’t give you a Sumycin prescription he might give you a Tetracycline prescription. These are the same drugs, just one is generic while the other is a brand name drug.

What should you tell your doctor before he gives you a Sumycin prescription?

Not everyone is suitable for a Sumycin prescription, you should be cautious if any of the following are true:

- you’re allergic to Sumycin

- you are allergic to tetracycline drugs

- you are taking another medication, including Methoxyflurane or Acitren

You should talk to your doctor if you have any other medical conditions as they might interact with one another. You should mention the following points in particular:

- you are pregnant or you’re trying to become pregnant

- you’re nursing

- you are taking any other medication whether it be a prescription, supplement, over the counter or herbal medication

- if you are suffering from diarrhea, infection or problems with your kidneys

It is not known whether or not it is safe to have a Sumycin prescription if you are pregnant, so make sure your doctor is aware of it. Doctors also don’t know whether or not Sumycin can pass into breast milk. Make sure your doctor is aware of everything so he can decide whether a Sumycin prescription is the right thing for you.

It is not advised to take a Sumycin prescription with other medication unless your doctor tells you it’s safe to do so. In particular you should not take Sumycin when you are taking any of the following:

- Isotrentinoin – this can increase the side effects experienced

- Warfarin – Sumycin will increase the side effects from Warfarin

- Birth control pills – Sumycin can stop birth control pills being as effective.

- Penicillin products

Differin is a brand name for medicine known as Adapalene. Differin gel is used to treat acne.

How should Differin be taken?

You should first wash and dry the areas that are suffering from acne. The Differin gel should then be applied sparingly to these affected areas at night just before you go to bed.

Adapalene actually speeds up the growth of spots that haven’t appeared yet. This can result in a worsening of the condition for the first few days of using the medication. You have to continue using Differin gel for around 8 weeks before you will notice any marked improvement. If your acne seems to be getting worse then you shouldn’t necessarily give up, give it some more time.

Differin gel should be used on its own, if you use it with other combinations of acne medicines then this can cause further irritation. Ask your doctor about any advice.

It is not known whether or not Differin gel is safe to use when pregnant and nursing. Only tiny amounts are absorbed into the body, but it is now known whether this would affect the baby.

Differin gel should not be used around the eyes, lips or nose.

Side effects of Differin gel

Side effects of differin gel include:

- Skin irritation

- Skin dryness

- Sore skin

- Increase risk of sunburn

Most of these side effects are not serious and will go away by themselves after using the medication for a bit. If the side effects do get to you too much then you can decrease how often you use Differin gel.

Differin gel can make your skin more sensitive to the sun which leaves you more open to sunburn. This is why you should apply it before bed. You should use sunscreen on the areas that you have treated to give it more protection.

Differin gel shouldn’t be used on cuts or sunburnt skin.

Dosage

In America Differin gel is available in a 45g tube, and in Australia it is available in a 35g tube. You can buy Differin in either gel or a cream. Differin gel contains a small amount of the active ingredient Adapalene.

Over long periods of time differing ell will reduce acne outbreaks, however over short periods either nothing is likely to happen or the condition will get worse.

Some doctors advice using Differin gel in combination with a benzyl peroxide wash and a benzyl lotion. The lotion should only be applied in the mornings, and then you should use the Differin gel at night.

Conclusion

Differin gel continues to be an effective long term treatment against acne.

Benzac (benzyl-peroxide) can help give your skin a rejuvenated look. It clears your skin of bacteria while also cleansing your skin, which is why Benzac is one of the most recommended ointments suggested by dermatologists.

Benzac As a Cure For Acne

The combination of bacteria and sweat on certain spots of the skin is what causes the formation of acne. There are many ways that acne can be characterized, but the most common forms include:

excessive swelling resulting in the formation of pus under the skin

burning or painful sensations localized on acne sores. This is due to the excessive swelling of acne.

skin rashes

Acne gets swollen by the bacteria residing inside the acne. By cleansing underneath the area of infection, Benzac cures acne by working to remove pus from within the acne.

Composition

Benzac is a water based 5% benzyl-peroxide based ointment. It is the unique water-based solubility of Benzac which makes it capable of permeating through cellular membranes to target bacteria under the skin, thus making Benzac an effective cure in removing bacteria trapped under skin. The active ingredient is also known scientifically as Dibenzoyldioxidane.

Side Effects

Depending upon the sensitivity of the skin, individuals can have an allergic reaction to Benzac. Should a reaction occur, it is important to keep in mind that Benzac use should only be continued after consultation with your doctor. In order to enable maintain safe skin tone while applying Benzac, do not continue use of benzac if you develop rashes. Rashes are the indication as to you developing a reaction to specific ingredient present in the ointment.

In certain rare circumstances of Benzac use, a reaction of the cream base with bacteria living under the skin causes a reaction and exacerbates growth of bacteria. If this should occur, it is necessary to use Benzac under the supervision of a physician who may prescribe a differing ointment according to the severity of acne.

Conclusion

Acne spoils the beauty of your face and predominantly affects people ranging from twelve to eighteen. In some cases, facial acne needs special attention and may call for a consultation with a physician. Often times physicians recommend Actimine, an herbal supplement formulated to help with the removal and prevention of further acne by reducing the oily buildup present in the skin.

Acne results from the involvement of complex hormones, immunity process, and enzymes. Actimine balances body functions by correcting nutritional deficiencies, and in the process stops the growth of ugly blackheads and whiteheads. Older people ranging form their 20s to 40s can also benefit from Actimine.

Explanation of Acne

Acne is a term used by dermatologists who define acne as an oily buildup which causes pimples and deep lumps. It often occurs on the face, shoulders, neck, back or chest and can range from mild to harsh. If untreated, severe cases of acne have a tendency to leave long-lasting scar spots.

Causes of Acne

Acne is caused by a combination of genetics and hormonal fluctuations. There are also other causes ranging from stress, an imbalanced diet, heavy cosmetics usage, and even excessive washing of the face. Medical treatment may be necessary when the acne problem becomes chronic. For more mild cases, however, you can choose to use Actimine, which can help in both clearing your face of unwanted acne, and in keeping it under long term control without having negative side effects.

Who is affected by acne?

Acne can occur in anyone irregardless of race, sex or ethnicity. It starts in adolescence between the ages of twelve and eighteen and generally lasts until adulthood. Men are more prone to severe acne problems, and in some instances may require medical aid to treat it. However, even women can have acne problems associated with the hormonal swings associated with menstruation. Women must also be wary of cosmetics that are highly oil-based. Additionally, some people may have a family history of acne, and may be affected by a heredity perdispostion.

Often times, people overlook the initial and mild symptoms of acne. Failure to address acne while its mild may cause substantial and sever skin problems requiring the consultation of a doctor. Many research studies have been done on acne and many more studies are currently underway. Actimine is a blend of different ingredients that aim at curing acne problems from the very beginning of onset, while promoting healthy skin that can help keep acne at bay.

Benefits of Actimine

Actimine helps the human body develop vitamin A, which is known to reduce the production in sebum and help building up keratin. Actimine also provides selenium, and antioxidant, which is known for helping the body in the formation of the enzyme glutathione peroxidases. GtP enzymes help regulate and control the occurrence of inflammation within the human body. Actimine also includes Gum Guggl, methysulfonyl, and zinc.
